They have gone extinct due to changing climatic conditions in which they couldn't adapt. Hence, there are no dinosaurs now.

The dinosaurs could survive now. but the reason there are none of them is because of the ice age. The ice age started when a huge Metroid hit the earth it blocked the sun rays from entering the earth's atmosphere due to which there was no heat on earth. Due to which the ice age started. the ice age made the dinosaurs extinct.
