Why there is a difference between conductors and insulators?? note that it's asked why..

As in a conductor the electric current flows freely but
in an 
insulator it cannot.
The Metals such as copper typify 
conductors,

while most non-metallic solids are also said to be good 
insulators, having extremely high resistance to the flow of charge through them.

conductor of those metals which are used flow of electricity .ex-silver copper etc.
insulator are those metals which cannot A pass the electricity for example wood soil. etc
