Answer:

Coastal areas receive heavy rainfall than other land areas because of the high evaporation from the sea in the coastal areas. EXPLANATION: A water body in coastal areas evaporates in high amount, and eventually the temperature in clouds lowers down and humidity increases.

Answer:

Coastal areas on an average receive more rainfall than the inland areas. The reason behind it is that there is a high evaporation in the sea, so when the wind blows from sea to land(sea brezzes), they carry moisture with them. When these moist air mass hit the landfall in case where there are hills closer to the coast, after striking with them they cause rainfall. Mostly it occurs daily thus causing a high annual rainfall.
