why there is a pulmonary artery and vein rather than nor.al artery and vein please answer my question hope you understand what I want to say.​

THESE ARE THE EXCEPTION CASE OF EACH ARTERY AND VEIN . BOTH ARE DOING OPPOSITE WORK OF THE OTHER ARTERIES AND VEINS.

Answer:

pulmonary artery and vein are diff from usual artery and vein because

usually artery carries oxygenated blood but pulmonary artery carries deoxygenated blood(from right ventrical to lungs for purification) and

usually vein carries deoxygenated blood but pulmonary vein carries oxygenated blood(from lungs to left aurical after purification).
