Thank you for asking the question!
Sugarcane belongs to grass family Poaceae. It has long, stout fibrous stalks that are filled with sugar sucrose . The plant is two to six meters high. They interbreed with each other. It is very sensitive to the climate soil type, irrigation , fertilizers, insects. Moreover, they require a lot of water for their growth so it need to be grown on a land where it can absorb maximum amount of water. Thus they only grow on the lands where temperature is favorably high.
Hope it helps.

There is hardly any sugarcane production in temperate lands because of the climate which does not support the climate needed to grow to sugarcane
Thankyou
