Answer:

When compared to Punjab and Haryana, Gujarat and Rajasthan receives scanty rainfall and has a hot and dry climate which results in less vegetation.

Explanation:

Rajasthan is famous for its parched regions and hilly tracts. It is said that once Rajasthan was filled with lush flora, but due to soil erosion and droughts, there is very less vegetation found here.  Gujarat also has a dry weather and an arid nature as it is located near the Thar Desert.

The soil found here has very less capacity to store water. The south-western monsoon runs parallel to the Aravalli range which causes less rainfall.

When compared to topography, climate and the soil found in Punjab and Haryana, the flora of both Gujarat and Rajasthan are less.
