Why there is need to plan land use

Planning usage of land is prior because land is always fixed , it cannot be increased. But it can be degraded by the use of unfriendly farming techniques and chemicals.

Land cannot be increased but production could be enhanced. It could be done by using modern and eco friendly farming techniques in a fixed proportion.
