Why there is no effect of antibiotics on viruses

because antibiotics are formed to destroy bacterias ........they are designed according to dna of bacteria not virus....as it means anti + biotic....... ( most imp. virus is acellular )

Virus insert their genetic material into a human cell's DNA in order to reproduce. Antibiotic can not kill viruses because bacteria and viruses have different mechanism and machinery to servive and replicate. The antibiotics has no target to attack in a virus.
