Why there is no enzyme to digest the vitamins?

Vitamins on the other hand do not require to be broken down to smaller molecules because they already are small enough to pass through the transporters in the plasma membrane of gut cells. ... Because vitamins can be absorbed without breaking them down into further smaller components in the digestive tract .

vitamins don't require enzymes for digestion becoz they are absorbed directly from the digestive track and transported by the blood to the cell
