Vitamins are not broken down further in our digestive system unlike the other nutrients like the proteins broken down into amino acids. vitamins and water are already small enough to be absorbed by the body without being broken down, so they are not digested. Mostly vitamins are absorbed in the small intestine. This is why there is no need of any enzymes in the process of their digestion. Hope this helps!!
