hydrogen do not evolve because when a metal M reacts with nitric acid HNO3,hydrogen will again react with oxygen to form water
HNO3+M=>MNO3+NO2+H2O
if nitric acid's consertration is only 1% then hydrogen will evolve
HNO3+M=>MNO3+NO2+H2O
if nitric acid's consertration is only 1% then hydrogen will evolve
