Gravity from Earth keeps the Moon and human-made satellites in orbit. It is true that gravity decreases with distance, so it is possible to be far away from a planet or star and feel less gravity. But that doesn't account for the weightless feeling that astronauts experience in space.

TheEdward: what this is classical theory dude +_+
TheEdward: gravity decreases with distance what do u mean by that +_=

Hello...
Here is your answer..

It is not true that there is no gravity in space. There is no place in the entire universe where there is no gravity. Every objects in the universe interacts gravitationally with every other objects, although the force with which they interact varies widely, depending on distance and mass.

Astronauts in a spacecraft feel no weight because an orbiting spacecraft is actually a body in free fall; that is, it is in a state of constant fall, never reaching the ground.
As long as any object keeps falling it remains weightless, which is mistakenly taken as absence of gravity. That is why an orbiting spacecraft and everything within do not register any weight, although they are constantly falling under the force of gravity.

On Earth, we feel the force of gravity as weight because the ground resists our fall and acts against the force of gravity. In the case of orbiting objects in space, there is nothing to oppose or resist the force of gravity.

Hope it helped ☺☺☺☺
