Why there is no horizontal force acting on projectiles?

Gravity only acts in the vertical direction, hence pulls DOWN. -In thehorizontal direction, there are no forces acting on it (aside from air resistance) therefore a projectiles horizontal velocity is constant. -Projectiles are only influenced by gravity.
