Answer:spectrum is created due to different refractive indices of different wavelength of light towards same material but for vaccume all have same refractive index which is 1

➡Space does have some gas and cosmic dust, but there isn't any atmosphere. Light travels in a straight line until it hits something. Once the light hits and bounces off of an object, it is the atmosphere that allows the scattering and the ability to see colours in the spectrum that our eyes see.
