Why there is wet climate on windward slope?

these slopes are the ones which receive more rainfall simply because of the reason that the prevailing monsoon winds intersect at the windward slope of the mountains Hence shedding their moisture and bringing rainfaol that side.

Slope is the land of high altitude of mountains to low altitude of plains. The slope land facing towards the sea is windward slope and opposite of the same land is the leeward slope because, the monsoon wind is obstructed by windward slope. So, heavy rainfall occurs there and becomes wet. But the monsoon wind cannot cross the high mountains and leeward and does not get rainfall so it remains dry.
