thrust is a vector quantity because thrust is always perpendicular to the surface of a plane which requires direction..
whereas pressure is thrust upon area in which thrust is always perpendicular and thus pressure doesn't need any direction..

Thrust is a vector quantity because it has magnitude as well as a direction but pressure is a scalar quantity because it has magnitude only, it has no specified directions.
