The pin sharp but head is broad because if we exerts more pressure then it vil easily penetrate but if we exerts less pres. on a blunt pin then it will not easily penetrate ..
Pointed nip has very small surface area due to which Pres. is required less and in the case of blunt pin surface area is more so.. pres. will be exerted more...
