why torrid zone much hotter than the frigid zone

The torrid zone gets direct rays of the sun for most of the year whereas at the frigid zone rays of the sun fall at a great slant. That is why torrid zone is much hotter than the frigid zone.

Torriod zone is much hotter then frigid zone because the sun rays have to travel shortest distance to reach on the places near equator which is torriod zone, while in frigid zone the sun rays can not fall directly so this is because why torriod zone is much hotter then frigid zone.
