Why transition element are having colour ... Plzz explain it ..

transition metal are coloured because because its unpaired Valence Electrons and then it's exercises to lower energy level to higher energy level and the release and absorb the colour and release the colour seen........

Transition elements shows colour because of d d transition . It can be defined by crystal field splitting theory . Transition elements have partially field d orbital . So the colour is shown when electron jumps frm one state to other
