Evergreen tropical forests - since in temperate regions "even green" nature is in capacity to resist colder temperatures and stay green as in coniferous, by virtue of needle design of leaves. In tropical regions "ever green" is in the capacity to survive reduced water supply. Perhaps the alternate hypothesis is why it is not "tropical deciduous forests" in Western Ghats and NorthEast as in eastern highlands of deccan plateau.
