Why tungsten is not used as a fuse wire

tungsten is not used as fuse wire because it has a high melting point and if we use it the definetly the fuse will not work and in case of high voltage the bulbs and appliances will get fused.

Tungsten is not used as a fuse wire as it has a high booking point and hence does not melt quickly, whereas a fuse wire needs to have a low boiling point so that it is sensitive to high changes in flow of electric current and hence melts easily.
