According to Bernoulli's theorem, when velocity of liquid flow increases the pressure decreases. Therefore the pressure exerted by water in between the boats becomes less than the pressure of water outside the boats.Due to this pressure difference both the boats are attracted towards each other.

Two boats are moved parallel to each other and get attracted.

  • This, I suppose, is an application of Bernoulli's principle.
  • The pressure lowers as the flow of the fluid increases.
  • This is the same idea that a plane's wings used to generate lift.
  • I believe the boats must be within a specific distance for this to happen.
