Why two male gametes can not fuse in humans? Both have same no. of chrmosomes.

Answer:

two male gamete cannot fuse because changes female gamete (ovum) membrane after one sperm penetrate corona radiata and this changes prevent other sperm from fusing with the egg. If this mechanism fails, multiple sperm can fuse with the egg. example- polyspermy.
