why two party system is the ideal one? justify in two points

One would be hard-pressed to find any strong argument that two parties is the ideal composition of Parliament.
Most democracies have more than two parties represented in legislature. Even Russia’s Parliament has four parties. Like the Electoral College system of voting, the two-party system is simply a historical development, and in the current political environment where it is impossible for new parties to attract significant following without large-scale funding and media support, it is unlikely than a new party will challenge the Democrats and Republicans.
The irony is that the Democratic and Republican party represent a very narrow spectrum of political opinion, and the differences between them, while presented as critical, are actually quite small.
The only advantage to a two-party system is that one of the parties always has the majority and can govern on its own without having to form a coalition with other parties, which is very common in other democratic nations.
