two ships moving parallel get attracted because they will have more attractive force

No your wrong it is due to the pressure difference.
so I wrote it that in between it is less as compared to the outer pressure

when the ships come closer there is an increase in the air velocity between the narrow gap of the two ships .
Due to this the pressure decreases.
The pressure between the Gap and the two boats is less than the pressure on outer surfaces of both the row of ships.
Therefore they are pulled together and many a times they collide.
