why u cannot use an elastic measuring tape to measure distance? What problems can u face

When you use an elastic measuring tape then while measuring if you stretch the tape the tape not being rigid would expand. When that happens your measurements won't be proper.
The measurements will be smaller than the actual value.

while measuring with elastic tape many problems can happen,such as it can strech too long. 2 accurate measure can'be done by elastic.
