why uniform circular motion is termed as accelerated motion

Uniform accelerated motion is termed as accelerated motion because there is a change in the velocity of the object at every turn of the path (direction changes). Since there is a change in the velocity of the object regardless of the speed, uniform circular motion is termed as an accelerated motion.

Hope it helps :)

Answer:

Uniform circular motion is accelerated because the velocity changes due to continuous change in the direction of motion. The change in velocity gives rise to an acceleration in the moving bodyTherefore, circular motion is an acceleration motion even when the speed remains constant.
