Why unit is length,mass and second are independent in each other​

Mass (kilogram), length (meter) and time (second) are 3 of 7 base units within the SI system. Base units are arbitrarily defined to be what they are, so they cannot be derived. All other units within the SI system are derived from the 7 base units, such as speed (meter/second).
