Unity in diversity in the sense means the Unitedness of something even of different kinds. The thing is same type of people can get united. But different things take time though. So Unity in diversity is special.
Never wondered where is this seen. Yeah, You are right,as a proud Indian we know it very well.India is the largest example for Unity in diversity. Many people are differentiated by Caste, Colours, Religions, Status. But after all, they are all united.They are together called Indians. This is the unity we Indians have.

A invitation is sent to India inviting them to a dinner by Israel.Four people start their journey on the ship. As they start they have a little talk. They got to know about the others. Finally every one knew two of them were Christians,Jews and A Muslim and a Hindu were among the people. As there were no visas, at the that time,they had to tell them who were they so that they can recognise the people.
The first person, told that he was a bhramahan & Hindu. He was restricted to the land as they didn't know a country named bhramahan or Hindu.
Next was the Muslim. He told that he is a Muslim & he was also restricted.
Next was a Jew. He told he was a child of God & Jews.He was also not allowed.
Next was a Christian. he told he was an Indian. He was grandly taken and was highly respected.
