why unsaturated hydrocarbons are more reactive than saturated hydrocarbons

unsatturated compounds have weak bonds....nd it can further react ...........as valence shell of carbon is not complete .........thus that 2ble or 3ple bond can rect to become saturated one................on the other hand carbon has complete valence shells nd hence cannot react..........
