if there is upper surface of leaf has a stomata there will be more transpiration process means loss of water. if there is upper surface of leaf has a stomata there will be more transpiration process means loss of water
so the upper layer is covered with cuticle.
at the back side of leaf there is a stomata present to increase the respiration process
