According to management guru Peter Drucker “The most valuable assets of a 20th century company were its production equipment”, he goes on to say that “The most valuable asset of a 21st century institution, whether business or non-business will be its knowledge workers and their productivity.”
In today’s knowledge economy the above observation clearly highlights the growing importance of employees in a company. Managing these employees in order to create wealth for the company is the responsibility of Human Resource.
Actually got this from a wedsite called "Quora"
