Why utensils for cooking are made up of stainless steel?

so that they don't get rusted ... because if it will start rusting then the food which we are making in that vessel will get spoil..

Iron mixed with carbon to produce steel is the main component of Stainless steel. Chromium is added to make it resistant to rust. Stainless steel is preferred for making kitchen utensils because it does not affect the flavor of food and is easy to clean.
