why value of acceleration due to gravity decreases with depth below the surface of earth. please also tell how this can be prooved with the following furmula and write it's derivation :

g(d) = g ( 1 - d/R)

where g(d) = acceleration due to gravity when object is at a depth below surface of earth
d = depth
R = distance b/w object and the center of the earth
