Why vapour pressure does not depend upon surface area?

Vapour pressure does not depend upon the surface area bacause vapours produced from the surface increases on increasing the surface area. Therefore the ratio of numbers of vapours produced to surface area remain the same and vapour pressure being independent is not affected.

Explanation:

it does not depends upon surface area as it is the pressure measured when the rate of evaporation and vaporization are equal so  if the the surface is greater the rate of evaporation is more and same with vaporization and if the surface area is less then less e and v .

hence it is not a surface phenomenon.
