vascular bundle of dicot stem is conjoint as xylem and phloem both lie on the same radius of the stem, collateral becuase phloem lies on the periphery whereas xylem lies inside surrounded by a single phloem sheath (different from bicollateral in which xylem is surrounded by two phloem sheaths and lies in the middle), and it is described as open because of presence of cambium which later on participates in secondary growth phase of the plant.
