Why velocity is negative or positive in same reach

Here, if the velocity is changing it is accelerating.

At first it is slowing down while traveling in the positive direction until it reaches zero velocity and then speeding up in the negative direction, all the while traveling with constant acceleration in the negative direction.

Bro i know the Answer...read carefully
If the distance remains constant, then the velocity will be zero on such an interval of time. Likewise, a positiveacceleration implies that the velocity is increasing with respect to time, and anegative acceleration implies that thevelocity is decreasing with respect to time.
