the walls of ventricle are thicker than auricles because ventricles have to pressure pump blood into various organs of the body, while auricles serve to receive the blood.

•The ventricles contract to pump the oxygenated blood out to the body. It need a lot of energy to pump the blood out of the body. Hence a lot of pressure is exerted in the walls of the ventricles. So thicker muscular walls help them to withstand and absorb the pressure.

•The deoxygenated blood comes to the auricles or atriums. The auricles relax to recieve the blood. Here the pressure exerted on the walls is very less. Hence the ventricles have a thinner wall as compared to the ventricles.

Hope it is clear enough to understand and helpful.... ^_^
