Venus is hotter than mercury because of high percentage of carbon dioxide in its atmosphere.. The CO2 gas traps most of the sun's heat falling on it. This is due to green house effect........

Venus is hotter then mercury because Venus take so many time to complete it's one rotation on its own axes as compared to other planets and it is also near the sun ☀️ .
