why villi found only in small intestine not in stomach

villi is a finger like structure which is present in the small intestine;it helps in the absorption of nutrients from the food;if it is not present food absorption may not take place properly and the food will be wasted

This is because the function of vill is to provide a large surface area for the absorption of the digsted food.Absorption of digested food takes place only in the small intestine-not in the stomach(which is mainly concerned with the digestion of proteins)-so villi are present in the small intestine and not in the stomach
