Dehradun: A 45-year-old woman was killed on Sunday after being swept away in the Bandal river, which has swollen following heavy downpour in the district. The incident took place when the victim and her kin, on-board an open jeep, were trying to cross the river in Maldevta area of
Dehradun
. The deceased has been identified as Neetu Lohiya, a resident of Jakhan area of the city. Her body was recovered from Song river about 500 metres downstream from the spot where the incident took place.
