Akbar keens on making Rani Durgavati a vassal of the Mughal Empire as she was the Gond king who wedded Dalpat Shah. She had a huge battalions of  soldiers with 20,000 cavalries, 1000 war elephants, a large number of warriors who was well prepared. She also unearthed many tanks and vessels of water for the benefit of her people, o near Jabalpur proclaimed as Ranital.

By attracting towards the prosperity and wealth of southern states Akhbar desired to extend his kingdom in the south without any bloodshed with mutual agreement.
