Albert Einstein's mother was against her son to marry to Mileva because she thought Mileva was three years older than her son ,was too young for him. She was also bothered by her intelligence .she also thought that she is just like a book for him.

Although I'm not sure of it, there could be two possible reasons, besides some personalities clash ofc:
1. Mileva was not a Jew, unlike Einstein's family, and you might be knowing that orthodoxically Jews usually marry in their own religion, specially during those eras back then.
2. She was a physicist/mathematician and certainly due to gender bias of that time, people couldn't stand women being more intelligent than average, there were nothing as equality, rights, Independence etc back then, women were only supposed to take care of the family and often beauty was preferred to intelligence...
Not sure of the latter one, but seems pretty obvious, right?
No Offense to any Feminazis lol
