Chapter : A House Is Not A Home
When post lost his school bag, clothes, shoes and lovely kitten then he felt sense of insecurity. He felt himself dejected and depressed. His house was burnt along with every memory of childhood he had. Already the author was seperated from his old school friends and teacher and now he had to live strangly with umknown school mates.
He didn't have proper shoes or dress. He had bought his shoes from aunt and felt himself isolated in strange conditions. When the day come next after the accident of fire then he felt surreal and depressed due to same reasons.
The author was wearing the same dress he wore the previous day when the fire broke out. They looked weird. But he had no shoes. They had become one among the many casualties of the fire. Because of that, he was forced to borrow some tennis shoes from his aunt. He though of staying home from school but his mom wouldn't allow such a thing. He also didn't have his backpack in which he claims his whole life was in. He didn't even have his books or homework. Through all these incidents, he thought of himself as an outcast. He wanted to curl up and die. He felt like a zombie walking in the hallways of the school. He felt ripped away. He felt that everything was surreal.
