- The Battle of Buxar was fought on 22 October 1764, between the forces under the command of the British East India Company, led by Hector Munro, and the combined armies of Mir Qasim, the Nawab of Bengal till 1763.
- It was a battle fought between the English Forces, and a joint army of the Nawab of Oudh, Nawab of Bengal, and the Mughal Emperor. The battle was the result of misuse of trade privileges granted by the Nawab of Bengal and also the colonialist ambitions of East India Company.

Battle of Buxar:(1764)This battle was fought between the Nawab of Audh and Emperor Shah Alam and East India Company at Buxar(Behar). The main reason was that they had taken up the cause of Mir Qasim,the deposed Nawab ob of Bengal. Their combined forces were defeated by Major.
