He grew up to the size of the Alsatian dogs that stayed with the family and Bruno, thus, had to be kept in chains for most of the times. Once Bruno ate poison accidentally and became paralyzed. After recovering from it he drank engine oil. It is because of all these activities that he was sent to the zoo.
