Answer:
The primary sources of state revenue in Nevada are taxes, fines and fees, and the federal government. There are a variety of gaming taxes that make up the state's revenue. This industry taxes the gross income of each casino, live entertainment, and gaming table/ slot machine.
California and Nevada became the first two of the Western territories to become states.
California became a state in 1850 because of the Compromise of 1850. The United States Congress passed a package of five separate bills. California became a free state. The others were divided between New Mexico territory and Utah territory. It was because of this compromise that slavery was banned in Washington and the American Civil war was also postponed.
Nevada was the second to become a state in 1864. It also came to be known as the "Battle born state". The national elections and interference of political parties led to the conversion of these territories. In 1864, the constitution was formed which lead to Nevada becoming a state.
