Why was Christmas eve a restless event for helen

helen went to a institute for blind as a guest... she was asked to distribute the gifts to the children in the institution... helen was very eagerly waiting to open her gift also but she coulfnt bcoz she ws asked to distribute...n her parents ssaid that santa would leave gifys for her ... at night and she colud see and open them on the nxt day... helen was very excited to oen the gifts...

Helen had a wonderful experience celebrating her first Christmas with Miss Sullivan. Miss Sullivan and Helen prepared surprises for every family member. However, Helen grew quite impatient regarding her own presents that she was to receive from her family and friends. She was told that she was going to get some wonderful presents. This made Helen very excited. She could not wait to unpack her gifts and presents.

That night she hung her stocking and lay awake long time waiting for Santa Claus. However, after sometime she fell asleep. Next morning when she woke up, she was overwhelmed with the number of gifts. Her room was full of gifts. Miss Sullivan also gifted her a canary bird; Helen was very happy on that particular Christmas.
