Dr D M Nanjundappa’s Committee aim is to remove regional imbalances in Karnataka. He was famous for his “Report of the High Power Committee for Redressal of Regional Imbalances in Karnataka” that comprised the recommendations for removing the mentioned imbalance.

Although the report was submitted by Dr D M Nanjundappa in 2002, the actual implementations of the recommendations began only in 2007-2008.
