education of women was important because they were human beings and there is no such reason for this.women education was important because if womens arent to be educated then they will not become powerful

secondly ,there were reformers such as raja ram mohan roy,who gave reforms to stop child marriage,

Illiteracy among the women is the basic cause of gender  inequality. So the Government of India is emphasizing on  women education. For this many schools and colleges have been opened  exclusively for women.  To promote education among women two most important  schemes i.e ‘Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan’ and ‘Mahila  Samakhya’ have been implemented.
